causative verbs

 Pengertian Causative verb adalah kata kerja yang digunakan ketika kita menginginkan orang lain melakukan suatu tindakan dan subject tidak bertanggung jawab langsung terhadap aksi yang terjadi.  Ada dua jenis bentuk causative, Yaitu Pada kalimat active causative verb, agent yang mengerjakan aksi diketahui. namun jika pada kalimat passive causative verb, agent biasanya tidak disebutkan.

Fungsi dan Rumus Causative Verbs 

1. HAVE
Fungsinya adalah untuk menginginkan seseorang mengerjakan sesuatu untuk subjek.
Rumus:
[ S + (HAVE-HAD) + AGENT + ACTION VERB(bare infinitive) + OBJECT] - Kaimat Aktif
Contoh Kalimat:
I had my sister take that ball (aktif)
[ S + (HAVE-HAD) + OBJECT + ACTION VERB(V-3)] - Kalimat Pasif
Contoh Kalimat:
I had my car cleaned yesterday (pasif) 

2. GET
Fungsinya mirip dengan HAVE namun dengan struktur kalimat yang berbeda.
Rumus:
[ S + (GET-GOT) + AGENT + ACTION VERB(to infinitive)] - Kalimat Aktif
Contoh Kalimat:
She got her brother to buy her a basket ball.
[ S + (GOT) + OBJECT + ACTION VERB(V-3) ] - Kalimat Pasif
Contoh Kalimat:
Cindy got her bedroom cleaned.

3. LET
Kata kerja ini berfungsi untuk membiarkan seseorang melakukan sesuatu.
Rumus:
[ S + LET + AGENT + ACTION VERB(bare infinitive) ]
Contoh Kalimat:
My father lets me choose my own car.

4. MAKE
Kata kerja ini berfungsi memaksa atau sangat menyakinkan seseorang untuk melakukan sesuatu.
Rumus:
[ S + (MAKE-MADE + AGENT + ACTION VERB(bare infinitive) ]
Contoh Kalimat:
The manager makes her staff work hard.

1.                    He gets John to brush the shoes

2.                    They get me to wash the clothes

3.                    She will get Anne to accompany her to the party tomorrow

4.         She made the baby take a nap.
5.         Professor Rogers didn't make us type up our lap reports.
6.         I made the machine work.

7.         They had their lawyer change their will.

8.         I like the way you had the beautician do you hair.
            9.         Tom had a tooth filled.

            10.        My husband always helps her do the laundry.

Kalimat causative verbs passive

1.                    he government got the bridge built quickly

2.                    We must have the floor cleaned as soon as possible

3.         Let's get Ralph to go with us.
4..        Do you know that we can get Karen to take us to San Diego
5.         I want to get the house painted before winter.
6.         Let's get our car fixed first.

            7.         His mother let him go to school.
            8.         Professor Baker let us write a paper instead of taking a final exam.
            9.         Would you let us borrow your notes
            10.        Don't let it bother you.
